Lacoste - Turning 30!

Contrast Halter
Because I still remember my kelly green Lacoste polo shirt that I had when I was 5, and because the brand still holds up...for the most part, I went on a search to see what was new in the collection. I love the preppy looks matched with flat colors of Lacoste.

Perrin Paris In Beverly Hills

A interesting new luxury store has opened up on Beverly Blvd in Beverly Hills. Perrin. The purses all have unique shapes and details that drew me in. Their sunglasses all have leather bars that are unbelievably light. I couldn't believe how comfortable they were and still in the $200ish price range.

Rebel Rebel

Steve Madden

Seems like every where I look there seems to be a distressed boot. Cool distressed boots that I want to rock. I want to look like the tough, bad girl....but instead I look silly so I admire from my computer screen and shop windows. But you - YOU - you, could look very cool. Here are a few options.

Saddle Shoes - Follow Up

Ok - so these ones aren't BASS, but they are saddle shoes. They are sorta cute cause they are more sleek than the '50's ones...a little bit more of a jazz shoe. But does that make them better? The people I was with thought they were cute. I'm on the fence.

Hundreds Of Sequins

No doubt this top is gorgeous.

"Hundreds of sequins were hand applied to give this silk georgette tank its fabulously fluid shimmer. The silhouette—chic and slouchy with pockets—embodies relaxed glamour at its finest."

But. Four hundred and ninety five dollars? J. Crew is supposed to be my alternative to when I can't affor that Marc Jacobs or Phillip Lim or any other high end designer....Is J. Crew stepping out of bounds?

Movember

A few months ago I posted the mustache pencil from the Charles and Marie site. Today I saw they now have mustache mugs. Perfect timing. It IS Movember. Movember is an annual, month-long celebration of the moustache, highlighting men’s health issues - specifically prostate and testicular cancer. Support your friends mustache growth and donate to the cause. Have some fun on the Charles and Marie site and buy a mug or a pencil!

Saddle Shoes & Other "Edgy" Bass Shoes

Dear God....or rather, Dear Steven Alan, are we really returning to the 1950's? Does that mean crinoline skirts aren't far behind?

I anticipated the return of penny loafers...but saddle shoes?

Steven Alan

So, continuing my thoughts on Bass....
First of all when you go to the site this is what it says:
Edgy, huh? I'll let you be the judge, but the last time I checked these were hardly "edgy". (Cringing)

But I do have a very distinct memory of my cousin working at a Bass shoe store and thinking how cool that was. He gave me a black eraser in the shape of a Bass penny loafer. I thought it was RAD.

J. Crew + Fred Segal

I heard a tip, and I am waiting to get my hands on the WWD issue that revealed the news, but Fred Segal owner Ron Herman will be curating a special pop up type shop in Fred Segal of J.Crew merchandise. Will it be special pieces for Fred Segal or his top pics, or what? This is a first and I'm excited to check it out. Word is that it will be at the Melrose location. Stay tuned.

Work/Travel Bags

I'm on a search for the perfect work bag to lug my computer and notebooks, but also double as my travel bag. Something light, not too pricey and with some style. Here are a few I found.

Cold weather is upon us...and I never worry about the need for gloves in Los Angeles. But - when I ride my bike and it's a little chilly, I always wish my hands had some protection from the cold wind. Below are some fingerless gloves I am checking out.

Reiss

I walk by Reiss pretty often, as it is around the corner from me on Robertson. There are usually a few realy cute pieces from their collection that stand out to me. This morning on my way to pick up some coffee, I saw some really great dresses in the window.
