I showed up at the event/book signing for The Sartorialist without having rsvp'd. I brought my paperback book and went for it. I was the third person to get my book signed, and I was surprised....he was nice. He introduced himself, exhanged witty banter with his fans and came off charming. I had heard otherwise, but I was glad he was different than what I had expected.

The only Ayyyy yahy yahhhhhy of the night were the fans. It was like a costume ball of people wearing their most "interesting" outfits they had to show up for Schuman.

In Argentina I spotted these high top Converse-like sneakers on children. A friend I was with bought them for her daughter, but we never found them for adults. Ta-dah! Found them at Forever 21!

Remember how cool it was to get a Swatch in the '80's? Who is to say it can't be cool again? I spotted this Pollock style design in some magazine and searched it out on their site....and it's only $55.

An Alternative To Hermes (Medor Watch)

Ya know... I'm quite taken with the Hermes Medor Watch. I love it. I love how it looks like a bracelet with a little bit of a rock n' roll edge, but when you pop it open, it's a watch. It's classic. Well - Marc Jacobs has given me a alternative for a fraction of the price. For about $250 I can have this fun watch from Marc by Marc Jacobs, or I can shell out over $1800 for the Hermes. Hmmm....

Mad About Plaid

I love plaid. Every time it come back in vogue I try. I try so hard to make it work on me and I just end up looking stupid. I've just about given up.....and then I spotted this scarf. I love scarves. Jean jacket and a scarf for LA winters, and done. A plaid scarf! Yay. Running to get this....or wait until it goes on sale, after all it's still 80 degrees out.

The cutest girl on my last production shoot always wore these cute scarf things in her hair and I through she looked adorable. Sort of 80's, like the wacky friend from Pretty In Pink, yet....more....chic, and not as wacked out. Mind you, this is in Argentina, where everything right now is '80's. From the random 80's tracks that weren't necessarily #1 ever...and some styles that will eventually make it here.

Gossip Girl brought back the headband. The preppy hair band with a big bow....but Argentina is bringing back the scarf bow hair accessory. If only I could figure out how to make it work in my head, I would have bought a ton of these things in different patters.

I had to share this interesting underwear that appears like trousers. Men, are these sexy? Interesting for sure. Sexy? For $120 someone better give them to me...cause I am not buying a pair of trouser underwear that only few people will spot me in.
